In Canada’s largest housing markets, rent is 2.5x what most people can afford. Over 850,000 in the GTA live below the poverty line. And those living in poverty can barely afford groceries, let alone a reasonable place to live. To bring attention to this ongoing crisis, we transformed a 150 sq ft. residential parking spot into an affordable one-bedroom rental unit to show how rising rent costs have left Canadians feeling that the only space they can afford to live in is no larger than a parking spot.
The campaign won two gold at the Marketing Awards.
